Due to presence of mind of a railway gangman, a serious danger has been avoided.Railway gangman, Sunil Bihari who noticed a crack in the railway track near to the area of Monkey Hill Station helped stop the super-fast Mumbai Pune Intercity Express travelling from Pune to Mumbai immediately.
The incident took place on Tuesday morning due to his alertness the major mishap was avoided. The incident took place between Khandala and Monkey hill station. The two cities are at a distance of 192kms.
Since past few days, the maintenance of railways is going on. Due to which, the trains in the route had been blocked. As soon as, he came to know about the crack in railway, he managed to pass on the information to the officials. Now, the scenario is quite stable as the trains blocked are back on the railway tracks.

According to police office, the railways from Thakurbari to Monkey hill station have been blocked. Due to which Deccan Queen Express and Intercity express were running late.
Dr. A.K. Singh, PRO Central Railway said, “Sunil Bihari has done a great job and that he will be awarded suitably,”
Although, reportedly, such incident occurs most often, the railway workers still need to be more cautious about the maintenance of the railway tracks. And any miss-hap should be prevented from taking place.
The presence of mind shown by the worker is really appreciable which helped save lives of thousands of passengers. Such efficient workers really need a pat on their back as they do a great deal to work for the safety of the people.
