Radhika Apte on her leaked NUDE clip, Says she couldn’t step out for days
Mumbai : Radhika Apte often remains in the news for her impressive performances. But a few years ago, the actress found herself in the midst of a controversy. It was due to nude video that went viral, and reports claimed it was her in that clipping. The clip was from Radhika’s film and she has said that she was not the one in the leaked clip. Actor Radhika Apte said she got a role in Parched at a time when she needed it.
In a recent interaction with a magazine, the actress broke her silence on that viral video. On asking why she agreed to play the role of a sex worker in Parched, the actress also explained. The film, directed by Leena Yadav in 2016 revolved around 4 rural women who decide to throw off the traditions that hold them in servitude in an Indian village.
Radhika Apte said that the incident scarred her badly. She couldn’t step out of her house for days. She said during an interview to Grazia, “I was trolled badly when my nude clip was leaked. It did affect me a lot. I couldn’t step out of the house for four days. The reason behind this was not the media and what it was saying. But my driver, watchman, and my stylist’s driver had recognised me from the images.”
However, Radhika Apte said that she is lucky that she got to be the part of a film like Parched. She added, “I really needed a role like this. Because being an actor in Bollywood, you’re constantly told what to do with your body but I always maintained that I would never do anything to my body or face.”
