Qateel Siddqui murder case – Gangster Sharad Mohol, Alok Bhalerao acquitted by court

NPNews 24 Online : Pune – Seven years after terror suspect Qateel Siddiqui was strangled to death inside the high security Anda Cell of Yerwada Central Jail, the Pune district and sessions court on Wednesday acquitted gangster Sharad Mohol and his accomplice Alok Bhalerao in the case. Siddiqui was a suspect in the 2010 German Bakery bomb blast case.

Siddiqui, who was from Darbhanga in Bihar, was allegedly a member of the terrorist organisation Indian Mujahideen (IM). He was lodged in the high security cell of Yerawada jail. On June 8, 2012, Siddiqui was allegedly strangled to death by two inmates — Sharad Mohol and Alok Bhalerao. An FIR was registered against them with Yerwada police station.
