Pune: Youth killed over land dispute in Sinhagad Road area (Videos)

Pune: A youth was brutally killed with a sharp weapon over a land dispute on Tuesday night at Raikar Mala in the Sinhagad Road area. The victim has been identified as Aditya alias Raju Janardan Pokale (19), a resident of Dhayari.

A case has been registered against the victim’s relatives at the Sinhagad Road Police station. The accused have been identified as Sampat Tanaji Kalokhe and Sagar Popat Raikar. They are absconding and the police are searching for them.

According to the details, the victim and the accused are relatives and they had a dispute over a piece of land. On Tuesday night, the victim was building a tin shed with the help of a few workers on the said plot. The accused Kalokhe and Raikar arrived at the spot. They had an argument with the victim. The duo stabbed the victim several times in his back with a sharp weapon. The victim was seriously injured and died on the spot. The accused escaped immediately from the spot.

After learning about the incident, Senior Police Inspector attached with the Sinhagad Police Station Vijay Kumbhar, along with his colleagues, rushed to the spot. Police teams are searching for the accused, said the police.

The Sinhagad Road Police are investigating further.
