Pune: Woman dies after being hit by a four-wheeler on Pune-Solapur road

Kurkumbh: A woman died after being hit by a four-wheeler on Pune-Solapur road on Monday (January 25) around 8.30 pm.

The woman was hit by an unidentified four-wheeler on the lane from Pune to Solapur near the flyover at Kurkumbh on the highway. The deceased has been identified as Phulodevi Bihari Mukhiya (age 25, now resident of Kurkumbh, Daund, native of Bihar). The deceased woman had gone to her father-in-law in Bhigwan (Tal. Indapur).

Bihari chief Biraji Mukhiya M has lodged a complaint with Daund police. A case has been registered against the unidentified driver in this case. Further investigation is being carried out by Sub-Inspector of Police Amrita Kate, Constable S. M. Shinde, Maruti Hirve, Rakesh Phalke, Dattatreya Chandne, Amol Raut, M. M. Pawar.
