Pune: Violent Altercation Erupts as Motorcyclist Flouts Traffic Rules, Assaults Couple in Pune

Pune: A routine evening commute turned into a harrowing ordeal for a couple on Solapur Road near Vijay Sales as a motorcyclist, violating traffic regulations by entering a no-entry zone, unleashed a violent assault on them. Furthermore, the accused also attempted to molest a woman. The incident, which occurred on Saturday (17th) at approximately 6:00 PM, has sparked outrage and led to swift action by the Wanwadi police, who have registered a case against the perpetrator.

The 47-year-old woman, a resident of Mundhwa, bravely stepped forward to file a complaint with the Wanwadi police station, detailing the horrific encounter. The case has been registered under sections IPC 354, 325, 323, 504, and 506 against the motorcyclist bearing registration number MH 12 SW 7273.

According to police reports, the couple was traversing Solapur Road when they came to a halt at the signal near Vijay Sales. It was at this juncture that the accused, flouting traffic norms, brazenly entered the no-entry zone. Upon being questioned by the woman about his reckless manoeuvre, the motorcyclist responded with vile obscenities, escalating the situation.

Infuriated by the woman’s inquiry, the motorcyclist proceeded to molest her, subjecting her to shameful and demeaning behaviour. Shockingly, he also viciously attacked the woman’s husband, resulting in a severe injury that dislocated his shoulder. The police are conducting further investigation into the case.
