Pune – ‘Vet’ doctor booked for prescribing wrong medicine for dog

NPNEWS24 Online : Pune – A man has been booked by Pune city police for impersonating as veterinary doctor and prescribing wrong medicines, which deteriorated condition of a pet dog.

After a senior citizen lodged lodged, the Kondhwa police station registered an FIR against the ‘doctor’ on Saturday.

According to police, the incident took place on March 1. After the pet dog fell ill, the complainant took him to the doctor. However, the dog’s condition deteriorated after taking the doctor’s medicine.

The complainant found out that the doctor did not posses valid degrees and hence he was cheating people by acting as veterinary doctor.

Based on his complaint, police have booked the doctor for offences under sections 419 (impersonation), 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
