Pune University will deal with 3500 complaints regarding final year exam results up to December 3

Pune: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) announced the results for recently conducted final year examinations. However, the Pune University administration has received more than 3500 complaints regarding the results and the grievance redressal will take another eight days.

The Pune University exam department conducted examinations for final year students from October 12 to November 7. These exams were conducted in offline and online mode. The examination process was mired with controversies. Several students faced technical issues while appearing for the examination online. Now, the students are yet again facing problems with the results of these examinations.

The exam department of the Pune University will analyse the complaints, verify their authenticity and then take steps to rectify errors if any. Most of the complaints are related to technical issues while appearing for exams like not being able to complete paper in time, change in code due to subject name-similarity appearing for subjects different than those mentioned in the exam form, attempting online exams by using two different email ids, etc.

Discrepancies were found in exam forms of about 176 students who haven’t filled their forms completely. These students were not considered while publishing the exam result. About 372 students have given two email ids in which case the entire fault lies with the students. Due to subject name similarity, the online exam code of 2695 students has changed and hence they have received erroneous results. About 534 students have got their result wrong due to other technical faults.
Dr Mahesh Kakade, Director of Exam Board of SPPU has issued a circular regarding this in which he has mentioned that all such complaints will be addressed by December 3. The final result for the final year exams will be published on December 3 on the website results.unipune.ac.in of Pune University.
