Pune: Trivial Disputes Escalate into Violence: Two Separate Incidents of Stabbing Lead to Police Cases

Pune: Two separate incidents of interpersonal disputes escalating into violent confrontations have come to light in the Pune district, prompting Lonikand and Market Yard Police to register cases against the alleged perpetrators.

Incident 1: Open Ground Assault in Perne Village

On Thursday evening, February 1, a dispute between two people took a gruesome turn when a young man attempting to mediate the conflict was brutally attacked by four individuals in Perne village within Haveli taluka limits. The victim, identified as Rohit Balasaheb Garje (20), a resident of Laxmi Nagar, Perne Phata, Taluka Haveli, sustained serious injuries as he intervened in the altercation.

Rohit filed a complaint at Lonikand Police Station against Shubham Balasaheb Kakade, Yogesh Balasaheb Kakade, Suraj Kakade, and Nikhil Londhe, all residents of Ramnagar, Vadhu Khurd, Taluka Haveli. The accused face charges under IPC sections 323, 324, 504, 506, and 34.

According to the police, the altercation began with the accused abusing the complainant’s brother, Aniket Garje. Rohit attempted to mediate and settle the dispute when the situation escalated. Shubham Kakade allegedly strangled Rohit, while Yogesh Kakade used an iron rod to attack the complainant. Suraj Kakade, meanwhile, picked up a stone and assaulted Aniket. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.

Incident 2: Domestic Quarrel Turns Violent in the Market Yard

In a separate incident at Bhusar Market in the Market Yard area, two brothers engaged in the business of selling flowers found themselves embroiled in a violent altercation on Thursday morning. Ravi Hari Pawar (40) allegedly stabbed his brother, Jitu Hari Pawar, with scissors during a domestic quarrel.

In this regard, Jitu filed a complaint with Market Yard Police against Ravi, who now faces charges under IPC sections 324, 323, and 504.

The brothers have a history of frequent disputes due to domestic reasons. The situation escalated when Ravi, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, stabbed Jitu in the stomach during the altercation on February 1. Police Constable Ashok Hirwale is leading the ongoing investigation.
