Traffic diversion from Shivaji Road due to Maghi Ganeshotsav

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Traffic Police | Thousands of devotees gather at the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir on Shivaji Road on the occasion of Maghi Shri Ganesh Jayanti, which is falling on February 4.
The Pune traffic police have diverted traffic from Shivaji Road to avoid traffic jams. Commuters should use alternative roads to reach their destinations, said DCP (Traffic) Rahul Shrirame.
Due to a possibility of crowds and as per the traffic situation, all types of vehicle will be banned on this road from 7 am on Friday till traffic normalises. Therefore, citizens should use alternative roads to avoid inconvenience.
Alternative routes
1. Commuters heading towards Swargate on Shivaji Road should use Jangli Maharaj road from SG Barve Chowk to reach Khadoji Baba Chowk-Tilak Chowk to reach their desired destinations.
2. Commuters desiring to reach the Pune Municipal Corporation building should use Jangli Maharaj road from SG Barve Chowk to reach Jhansi Rani Chowk, from where they should take a left turn towards the PMC building.
3. Traffic from Appa Balwant Chowk towards Budhwar Chowk will be closed. Commuters should go straight on Bajirao Road to reach their destinations.
