Pune to see light continuous showers till Sept 11

Np News 24 Pune: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted continuous  light to moderate rainfall in Pune and neighbouring areas.  There has been moderate rains in the city from last two days till Sunday.  Now, the IMD has predicted that the city is likely to receive light to moderate rainfall till Septamber 11.

The maximum temperature in the city is expected to stay between 27°C and 29°C till September 13, while the minimum or night temperature is expected to hover around 22°C, according to IMD predictions.

Overcast conditions with light or moderate rainfall are also expected till September 11.  On September 12 and 13, the IMD has predicted rainfall in the city. As per IMD, after September 10, the rainfall may reduce to light rainfall in Pune.

During this time, there can be a slight increase in the temperature. However, there could be  an increase in rainfall activity in the city from September 13 until September 15.  On September 10, IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Gujarat. Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra are likely to witness heavy rainfall on September 10.

Strong winds are likely to prevail over southwest and adjoining westcentral Arabian sea. The IMD has issues a warning and advised fishermen not to venture in that area.
