Pune : Techie looted near Hinjewadi IT Park

Np News Network – A 32-year-old man working with a prominent IT company in Hinjewadi was assaulted and looted of his wallet and bike in the wee hours of May 3.

Based on complaint from Suraj Prasad Kant, a native of Bihar, who lives in Xrbia society near the IT Park, Hinjewadi police station has registered FIR against three unidentified persons.

According to police, the incident took place around 2 am. After work, Kant was going home on his bike, when three persons on a bike blocked his way near the Xrbia gate. They assaulted him and snatched away his wallet and bike, totally worth Rs 75,000.

Police have booked the robbers for offences under sections 392 (robbery), 341 (punishment for wrongful restrain), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
