Pune: Step Up Foundation launches ‘Teen Talks’ mobile app to solve teenage problems

Pune: Mayor Murlidhar Mohol launched the ‘Teen Talks’ mobile app created by Step Up Foundation in order to provide solutions to various problems faced by teenagers.

For the past ten years, the Step-Up Foundation has been working with adolescents. As children grow, they go through physical and psychological changes, along with changes in behaviour, speech and habits. When they are at their growing age, they are curious about certain things, particular topics like sexuality, addiction and exploitation. Young children question their parents, and quite more than often parents fail or find it difficult to answer these questions.

Getting answers from their fellow friends and the internet can also cause problems, often with the risk of receiving false information. Hence, the organization has created the ‘Teen Talks’ app to make it easier for parents and teachers to give their children the correct information at the correct age.

It contains educational videos in simple language that can be shown to children in phases according to their age. Parents and teachers can get free counselling through the app. They can also take basic courses in this regard. This app and its contents are free for everyone.

The launch of the app was attended by Deputy Mayor Sarawasti Shendge, veteran Marathi Actor Prashant Damle, Step Up Foundation President Gauri Vaid, Vishwas Radhika Gangal, Dr Shishir Joshi and others.

This app will be used for students and teachers in municipal schools. This initiative is important to solve many problems for adolescents.
