Pune-Solapur Railway | Passengers Traveling on Pune-Solapur Route to Benefit from Reduced Fare on ‘Vande Bharat’ Express

Pune : Pune-Solapur Railway |  Passengers traveling between Pune and Solapur on the ‘Vande Bharat’ trains will now enjoy reduced fares, as the Railways has decided to lower ticket prices for AC chair cars and executive classes by up to 25 percent. This decision comes in response to the low passenger response on this particular route, which has been recorded at less than 30 percent.

The Railway Board has issued an order stating that the fare reduction will be implemented in those stations along the route where the response from passengers is below 50 percent. The discounted fares for AC chair cars and executive classes are aimed at boosting the passenger turnout on these trains. Notably, the ‘Vande Bharat’ trains running between Pune and Mumbai have been witnessing a great response from travelers.

However, it has been observed that the response to the ‘Vande Bharat’ trains between Solapur and Pune is relatively low, with less than 80 percent passenger turnout. Comparatively, the response on the Mumbai-Solapur route is higher, especially on the Mumbai-Pune leg, which records a 55 percent response. These statistics have been derived from the passenger data of ‘Vande Bharat’ trains over the past five months.

To encourage more passengers to choose the ‘Vande Bharat’ trains for travel between Pune and Solapur, the Railway Board has introduced a 25 percent discount. This move aims to make train travel more affordable and appealing to commuters on this route.
