Pune: Shri Ram idol consecration ceremony held at Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandir

Pune: The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal, India’s first mandal to hold Ganeshotsav, celebrated the Shri Ram idol Pran Pratishtha (consecration) in Ayodhya at its temple in the city with fervor and devotion on Monday.

Ram Raksha Stotra was recited; Ramnam was chanted while Maha-aarti was performed. The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal Trust also offered the traditional plates (Manache Taat) to the six major Ram temples in the city.

Shri Prabhu Ram’s idol has been consecrated in Ayodhya. To mark the occasion, the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal Trust has organised various religious ceremonies from Sunday to Tuesday. Ram Raksha Stotra was being recited and Ramnam was being chanted from 6 am at the temple on Monday. The morning Aarti was performed at 8.30 am in the presence of Karsevak Sanjay Gokhale. Following the consecration of Prabhu Shri Ram’s idol at Ayodhya at 12.30 pm, Shri Samarth Pathak played Dhol-Tasha and the entire area reverberated with its sound.

Moreover, the Trust offered the Manache Taat to major Ram Mandirs, including Tulshibaug Ram Mandir, Rahalkar Ram Mandir, Pune Vidyarthi Gruh, Kate Ram Mandir, Joshi Ram Mandir and Kalaram Mandir. A Deepotsav was organised in the evening, where the temple premises were lit with oil lamps or diyas. Maha-Aarti was also performed in the evening by BJP national leader Sunil Deodhar, Vivek Matkari, Prashant Yadav and Adv Sharad Chandrachud.

 

The trust made elaborate arrangements to watch the live telecast from Ram Janmabhumi, Ayodhya.
