Pune : ‘Sex’ racket busted at Vrindavan Lodge on Pune-Nagar highway, 2 arrested

Pune : Ranjangaon MIDC police raided the lodge after receiving secret information about running a sex racket at Vrindavan Lodge near Pune-Nagar Highway in Ranjangaon Ganapathi Rajmudra Chowk in Shirur taluka. Police have arrested two people during this period. Both the accused Gunakara Krishnappa Shetty and Lalaso Dattatreya Shendge are the manager of the lodge. The preliminary investigation revealed that a sex racket was started with the help of a woman.

According to information provided by Ranjangaon MIDC Police, they were informed about running of sex racket in Hotel Vrindavan located at Rajmudra Chowkat. After this, on 7 February at 1 pm, the police sent a person as a customer. The man demanded the woman from Hotel Vrindavan manager Gunakar Shetty, the manager asked him to go to a room. After which the person hinted to the police.

After receiving the hint, the police raided Hotel. Police arrested Gunakar Krishnapa Shetty (46) resident of Vrindavan Lodge, Ranjangaon Ganpati, Ta. Shirur, Dist. Pune and Lalaso Dattatreya Shandage (30) resident of Shekwadi Shivane, Ta. Sangola, Dist. Solapur. The police have registered a crime under section 3, 4, 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956.

This action was taken under the after the orders of Daund subdivisional police officer Rahul Dhas under the guidance of Dr. Abhinav Deshmukh – Police Officer of Pune Rural, Suresh Kumar Raut, Police Inspector of Ranjangaon MIDC Police Station, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Yele, Vinayak Mohite, Raghunath Hanor, Dhanshree Jadhav, Vijay Shinde.
