Pune Crime News | Newly-married girl ends life by jumping into Indrayani river; She was being harassed to get money from her parents’ house
PIMPRI : Pune Crime News | A girl who got had got married one and a half month ago died by suicide by jumping into Indrayani river. The police have registered an FIR which states that the girl took the extreme step because she was being physically and mentally harassed apart from financial reasons. The incident took place on July 3 (Monday). An FIR has been registered against her husband Kaushal Piraji Bhosle, a resident of Talegaon Dabhade. The police have arrested him. The deceased’s mother has lodged a complaint at the MIDC Talegaon police station.
According to the police, the complainant’s daughter had got married to the accused Kaushal on May 17, 2023. After marriage, Kaushal asked his wife to bring money from her parents’ house and a two-wheeler. The complainant’s daughter was being harassed to bring money equivalent to Kaushal’s one year salary. The complainant’s daughter was physically and mentally harassed and was also abused and assaulted. The girl, who was fed up with the harassment, died by jumping into the river within 45 days of her marriage.
In another incident, a girl took the extreme step because of her husband’s affair with his colleague. The incident took place on July 3 (Monday) at Varale in Maval taluka. The accused has been identified as Nirgun Bholanath Tikhande (26), a resident of Maval taluka. The police have arrested him. The mother of the 22-year-old deceased has lodged a complaint at the Talegaon MIDC police station.
According to the police, when the complainant’s daughter was staying in her in-laws’ house, her husband was having an affair with his colleague. Nirgn used to tell his wife to get money from her parents’ house and used to physically and mentally harass her. The complainant’s daughter, who was fed up with the harassment, died by hanging herself to the ceiling.
