Pune Police News | DCP Sandeep Singh Gill suspends two policemen

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Police News | DCP Sandeep Singh Gill has immediately suspended two policemen for calling up the police control room from another person’s mobile and giving fake information and harassing a contractor. (Pune Police News)

The suspended policemen have been identified as policeman Nikhil Rajendra Shedge and policeman Aqib Sattar Shaikh. Both were working at the Deccan police station. They were posted at Prabhat police chowki as Beat Marshals from 9 pm on May 12, 2023 to 9 am on May 13, 2023.

Nikhil Shedge and Aqib Shaikh went to a restaurant and took the mobile of an employee and called up the police control room and complained that the road repair work was going on at night in Prabhat police chowki limits, which was disturbing them. After the control room gave the information to Beat Marshal Shedge and Shaikh, they went to the place where work was going on. They told the contractor that they had received a call from the control room and asked him to show the work order and the permit for carrying out work in the night or stop the work. Both marshals took the complainant to the police station.

The contractor had complained to senior police officers. When probing the complaint, it was found that the marshals had called up the control room by using the mobile of another person to harass the contractor. Hence, both policemen have been suspended by DCP Sandeep Singh Gill.
