Pune : Pune Police All-Out Operation | In a massive crackdown on crime, the Pune City Police conducted an extensive operation throughout the commissionerate area, resulting in the apprehension of a significant number of criminals. The operation, aptly named “All-Out Operation,” took place between 10 pm on Friday and 1 am on Saturday, targeting various offenses and ensuring the safety and security of the city’s residents.

 

Under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Ritesh Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, law enforcement officers worked tirelessly to combat criminal activities. A total of 2,000 criminals were identified during the operation, with 695 individuals successfully apprehended by the police. The suspects were subjected to thorough searches, leading to the discovery of incriminating evidence.

 

Among the most noteworthy findings were the 24 arrests made under the Arms Act, highlighting the commitment of law enforcement to tackle the issue of illegal weapons in the city. The police seized one pistol and 23 sharp weapons from the arrested individuals, effectively preventing potential harm that could have been caused by these dangerous weapons.

 

The operation extended beyond arms-related offenses, encompassing various other illegal activities. In a series of targeted operations, 73 individuals were apprehended for violations under the Mumbai Prohibition Act, while five individuals were arrested under the Mapoka offenses. Additionally, 55 people were taken into custody for gambling-related offenses, and three individuals were arrested in connection with drug-related crimes.

 

During one of the operations under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, an altercation broke out between police officers and a group of suspected criminals who were planning a robbery near Rosary School in the Warje Malwadi Police Station limits. The police managed to subdue the suspects, leading to the arrest of five individuals. One police officer sustained minor injuries during the scuffle. The recovery of weapons, including a Gavathi Katta firearm, further highlights the vigilance and effectiveness of the police operation.

 

The success of the All-Out Operation can be attributed to the meticulous planning and coordination of various police departments and personnel. Under the supervision of senior officers, including Commissioner Ritesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, and Deputy Commissioner Amol Zende, officers from different zones, crime branch, and traffic branch worked diligently to ensure the operation’s success
