Ruby Hall Clinic and Bajaj Finserv jointly introduce CyberKnife S7 robotic radiotherapy system for cancer treatment

Pune: Pune News |  Ruby Hall Clinic and Bajaj Finserv introduced the CyberKnife S7, a robotic radiotherapy system. The technology, inaugurated by Dr.Bhagwat Karad, Minister of State of Finance, Government of India. This technology improves cancer treatment with precise, non-invasive radiation therapy for tumor targeting. Sanjeev Bajaj ,Dr.Cyrus Poonawala, Behram Khodaiji, CEO of Ruby Hall Clinic, Shefali Bajaj, Chairperson, CSR Steering Committee, Bajaj Finserv were present on occasion.

 

This ceremony was held at Ritz Carlton Hotel,Near Pune Airport,on 29th July 2023.
Dr Bhooshan Zade, Director of CyberKnife Radiosurgery and Radiation Oncology, explained the system’s importance, offering personalized treatment plans at the event. The CyberKnife’s real-time tracking ensures accurate targeting and shorter treatment times, minimizing side effects, he informed. Behram Khodaiji, CEO of Ruby Hall Clinic, described CyberKnife as a milestone, providing patients access to treatment options.

 

Shefali Bajaj, Chairperson of Bajaj Finserv’s CSR Steering Committee, expressed excitement about the collaboration, aiming to offer free treatment to pediatric cases and subsidized care for underprivileged patients. Dr PK Grant, Chairman of Ruby Hall Clinic, acknowledged Bajaj Finserv’s support in bringing CyberKnife and Bajaj Finserv’s commitment to philanthropy.This machine has capacity to treat 200 patients everyday. It takes 20 minutes for treating a patient.

 

Dr.Karad reviewed the progress of the country in the Healthcare sector. He said, ‘India is becoming self-sufficient in producing and developing advanced healthcare equipment. This new cyberknife technology will help Pune city to become the Medical Hub of the Country.’

 

He further said,’Medical sector is progressing as the Union government under the leadership of Narendra Modi,has taken important decisions and started new schemes.’

 

Ali Daruwala and Dr.Parvez Grant were felicitated at hands of Dr.Bhagwat Karad,in this ceremony, for being appointed to the National Council for Minorities.
