Pune News | Pune directorate of tourism invite schools & colleges to submit proposal for establishment of ‘Youth Tourism Board’

Pune: Pune News | The Pune directorate of tourism on the directions of the ministry of tourism of the central government on the occasion of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence has asked to establish ‘Youth Tourism Board’ in all the recognised schools, junior colleges of the state from class 7th onwards.

 

As an incentive for this, grants will be given on the principle of ‘first come first served’ and Pune Directorate of Tourism has appealed to schools and colleges to submit proposals on a priority basis.

 

As an incentive grant for the establishment of Youth Tourism Board, Rs 10,000 for each club established in schools and Rs 25,000 for each club established in colleges will be given on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

 

Youth Tourism Board should be established in recognized schools of the state to promote the country globally as an informer of tourism, rich heritage and culture of the country and the state and to create youth ambassadors of Indian tourism. This will help students and youth to acquire important skills such as team spirit, management leadership and service attitude as well as awareness of sustainable and responsible tourism.

 

Supriya Karmarkar Datar, divisional assistant director, Tourism Directorate Pune appealed the schools and colleges to collect the information and also participate in large numbers.
