Pune News | PM Modi’s statue taller than Sardar Patel’s to come up at Lavasa City

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune News | A life-size statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming up at Lavasa near the city. The project has been taken up by Darwin Platform and will be the tallest statue in the world. It is said the statue will be built by December 31, 2023. (Pune News)

“PM Modi is doing his best to preserve the unity and integrity of our country. India has found a visionary in him. The statue will be a tribute to his contribution to the country,” said Ajay Harinath Singh, CMD, Darwin Platform.

Taller than Statue of Unity

The Modi statue will be taller than the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patil statue in Gujarat, which is 182 m. Modi’s statue will be 190 to 200 m.

Distinct feature of the project

The Narendra Modi statue at Lavasa City in Mulshi taluka near Pune will be the tallest statue in the world. It will be 190-200 m. The plan includes a museum depicting the heritage of India, aspirations of ‘New India’, a memorial park, an entertainment centre and an exhibition hall. A biographical film on Modi will be screened in the exhibition hall.

NCLT has approved further development of Lavasa by Darwin Platform

Lavasa City in Mulshi taluka is a planned, private hill station. NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s son-in-law Sadanand Sule and entrepreneur Ajit Gulabchand were among the promoters in the project. However, the company went bankrupt and now Darwin Group has bought it. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has given its approval to the project.
