Pune News | Pimpri-Chinchwad to Get its Own Regional Transport Office (RTO), Easing Citizens’ Hassles

Pimpri : Pune News | In a major development for the residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad city, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) is set to make its debut soon. The move comes as a significant relief for citizens who previously had to bear the inconvenience of traveling to Pune for various RTO-related tasks. The proposal for upgrading the status of nine sub-regional transport offices in the state, including Pimpri-Chinchwad, was submitted by the RTO Commissioner’s Office to the Home Department, which has now been approved.

With the Pimpri-Chinchwad Sub-Regional Transport Office being elevated to a Regional Transport Office, the burden on citizens visiting Pune RTO for driving school licenses, national permits, and other services will be alleviated. The upgrade in rank will also result in an increased number of officers and staff, thereby reducing the strain on existing manpower and expediting the process of license issuance, vehicle fitting certificates, and other formalities.
