Pimpri: Pune News | In a commendable display of prompt action and expertise, the fire department in Pimpri-Chinchwad successfully rescued a person who had accidentally fallen into a swamp in Nigdi. The incident took place behind the school for the deaf and dumb in the Nigdi area at approximately 7:30 AM today. The trapped individual, identified as Nilkanth Patil, was rescued safely by the vigilant fire department.

 

 

According to reports, Nilkanth Patil was strolling along a nearby road close to his residence when he inadvertently got trapped in a swamp formed due to the heavy rains. Observing the dire situation, a concerned citizen named Vishal Salve immediately alerted the Nigdi Fire Department about the incident. Responding swiftly to the distress call, firefighters rushed to the location.

 

Upon reaching the scene, the fire department assessed the situation and promptly deployed a strategic rescue operation. With the help of ropes, ladders, and hooks, they skillfully extricated Nilkanth Patil from the perilous swamp and ensured his safety.

 

 

The Pimpri-Chinchwad region has been experiencing continuous rainfall in recent days, leading to the formation of muddy areas and swamps in several locations. Incidents such as this serve as a timely reminder of the hazards posed by open grounds with muddy surfaces during the monsoon season.
