Pune News | Parking allowed on both sides of Karve Road in some areas
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune News | The traffic police on Friday decided to cancel no parking in some areas on Karve Road and allow parking of vehicles on both sides of the road. The traffic police took two months to take a decision on this issue when the PMC had given its nod in June and instructions had been issued by Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil. (Pune News)
From 2018, parking on both sides of Karve Road from Khadojibaba Chowk to Hutatma Rajguru Chowk (Karishma Society) was not allowed for metro project, double decker flyover and other development projects. Even after the metro project was completed, the parking policy was not changed and this was affecting the business of local shopkeepers.
Finally, after two months, the traffic police gave permission for two-way parking and this will enable parking on the stretch from Vaidyaraj Mama Gokhale Chowk to Swantraya Chowk near Sonal Hall. DCP (Traffic) Vijaykumar Magar has issued orders about the change in parking arrangements.
