Pune News | BARTI and IGTR signs MoU to provide skill development training to 1000 SC candidates every year

The objective of the agreement is to develop skills among Scheduled Caste candidates

Pune : Pune News | In a positive development for the state Scheduled Caste candidates an MoU was signed between Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Center, Indo German Tool Room (IGTR) Aurangabad to provide skill development training to 1,000 Scheduled Caste candidates every year.

 

Indira Aswar registrar of BARTI and RD Patil general manager of IGTR signed the MoU in the presence of deputy collector and department head of BARTI skill development department Anil Karande, project manager of BARTI Mahesh Gavai, skill development senior training manager of IGTR JD Bagul, Pune project officer of IGTR Megha Saundankar and others.

 

BARTI and IGTR through this partnership will jointly implement skill development training programs tailored to the needs and aspirations of the SC community. The trainees will be given 6 to 12 months training in CNC turning, tool and die making, machine maintenance, welding, CAD/CAM etc.

 

Expressing happiness over the MoU BARTI registrar Indira Aswar said, “The objective of this agreement is to develop skills among Scheduled Caste candidates in the state, empower them skill wise by imparting technical knowledge, increase their employability and promote entrepreneurship.

 

RD Patil, general manager, IGTR, said, “The partnership has been made with BARTI to provide technical training and job assistance to SC candidates. Both the institutes will continue to strive to provide quality skill development training to the candidates and job opportunities for a better future.”

 

Sunil Vare, director general, BARTI said, “The MoU between BARTI and IGTR is an important step towards creating opportunities for skill development and economic empowerment for SC candidates in the state. More and more candidates from scheduled castes should take advantage of this opportunity and become employable.”

 

Advertisement and registration process for enrollment of candidates in skill development training programs will be started in August 2023.
