Pune: NCP corporator booked for land grabbing, forgery

NPnews24 Online Pune: An FIR has been registered against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator from Katraj-Ambegaon, Yuvraj Sambhaji Beldare, for allegedly preparing forged document of a plot and trying to grab it.

Builder Sidharth Mahendra Dangi (27) of Narhe has lodged an FIR with Bharati Vidyapeeth police station against the corporator and his brother Nandkumar Beldare, both residents of Ambegaon.

According to police, Dangi had purchased land in Ambegaon Budruk from his relatives and paid them Rs 1.3 crores. However, Beldare brothers prepared forged document of the land to show that Dangi has sold the plot to them. After Dangi got information about it, he immediately lodged complaint with senior police officials. After preliminary enquiry it was found that the Beldare brothers tried to grab the land, hence the FIR was registered against them for cheating and forgery under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Police inspector (crime) Vishnu Tamhane is further investigating the case.
