Pune-Mumbai rail traffic closed till August 16

Pune: Due to continuous rainfall in Karjat-Lonavla ghat area, several trains including Intercity trains between Pune and Mumbai have been cancelled from August 9 till August 16.

Some trains passing through Pune railway station have also been cancelled and many trains going to Kolhapur have also been cancelled due to floods in the region.

Commuters will not be able to travel using trains in this period of time.
The Pune railway division has decided to operate two demo trains between Pune and Daund from Ssturday till Monday. |

There will be four rounds of the train and it will stop at every station. Therefore, it will benefit passengers travelling from Pune to Daund and Daund to Pune.

Fue to heavy rains, the iron rail tracks have been washed away or fallen off the track.
Several trains have bee  cancelled and many commuters are facing trouble.

The railways has announced that the rail traffic between Pune and Mumbai will be closed till August 16, a day after the Independence Day.

Trains like Mumbai-Kolhapur Koyna Express, Sahyadri Express, Pune-Bhusawal Express have also been cancelled.

There is no train that will be running between Pune and Mumbai and hence, commuters will have to use road transport like buses and cars for the commute between the two cities.
