Pune: NCP (SP) MP Dr Amol Kolhe has criticised NCP (AP) President Ajit Pawar over NCP (AP) nominee and former Shiv Sena MP Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil.

Dr Kolhe said, “I am surprised that a person who had challenged the NCP from the Parliament entered the NCP (AP). Ajit Pawar who has been leading Pune for so many years. But he has to ‘import’ a candidate to fight against a common farmer’s son like me. This proves Sharad Pawar’s leadership. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Manchar, does not even utter a single word about farmers’ issues such as onion prices, milk rates and straying of leopards into villages and cities. I feel sad about this.”

Dr Amol Kolhe was addressing a press meet late on Tuesday night at the NCP office in the city. He said, “If I decide to reveal my private conversations with Ajit Pawar, there will be a lot that can be exposed.” He retorted to his criticism by Ajit Pawar and Adhalrao Patil at a rally in Manchar.

Replying to the allegation that the Sansad Ratna award is declared out of a room in Chennai, Dr Kolhe said, “This is an affront to the people of Shirur. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Saheb conceptualised the award. The Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister is a part of the panel. Ajit Pawar and Adhalrao Patil should publicise their views on the Sansad Ratna award given to Dr Shrikant Shinde, the son of CM Eknath Shinde.

“Adhalrao should speak about the projects that he brought to his constituency during his three terms as an MP. On the contrary, I will list the projects that I have brought. Indrayani Medi City, Pune-Nashik railway route, Leopard Rehabilitation Project, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Memorial are my concepts. Ajit Pawar should speak about these projects. In fact, Adhalrao was responsible for the cancellation of the international airport in Khed.

“I was present at every meeting that Ajit Pawar held during the corona pandemic. Since I was a medical professional, I could work to reduce the price of Fabiflu tablets across the country. I facilitated vaccination of five lakh people from my constituency through Serum Institute of India. I have always raised my voice against farmers’ losses in crores of rupees due to plummeting prices of onions and milk in Parliament.”

NCP (SP) City Unit President Prashant Jagtap, Nitin Kadam and Ganesh Nalawade were present.

Speak about Nathuram Godse by sharing the dais with PM Modi and Amit Shah

Criticising Dr Kolhe from Manchar, Ajit Pawar asked him to speak about his role of Nathuram Godse. Dr Kolhe said that he had repented the role later by praying before the Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Alandi and expressed his regret about it. He appealed to Ajit Pawar to repeat his criticism about Nathuram Godse by sharing the dais with PM Modi and Amit Shah.

Dr Kolhe said, “Ajit Pawar’s views about me before June 27, 2013 and later are in the public domain. Ajit Pawar changed his stance after PM Modi mentioned his name in a rally in Bhopal. I have stuck to my views and am loyal to Sharad Pawar. People know it well who has taken a U-turn and why. He warned Ajit Pawar that since Pawar is speaking about their private conversations,, he would also reveal them.
