Pune Landslide | Landslide between Dapsare and Ghol villages in Velhe taluka affects movement of traffic

PUNE: Pune Landslide | There was a landslide on the road between Dapsare and Ghol villages in Velhe taluka on Wednesday night. The traffic on this road has been closed and fortunately, no one was hut in the accident.

 

Accommodation arrangements have been made for the driver and conductor of the bus and passengers at Dapsare. The work of removing the huge boulders by using JCB is going on. SDPO Rajendra Kachre said that after a portion of boulders is removed, the road will be opened for traffic.

The Velhe taluka is inaccessible and many villagers are located on the hillocks. Landslides happen in monsoon frequently. The administration and the police have given instructions to villagers about safety measures to be used in monsoon.
