Pune : Hadapsar Police Arrest Accused for Molestation of Minor Girl in Manjri Budruk

Pune: A minor 13-year-old girl was repeatedly chased and sexually molested by a 21-year-old young man in the Manjri Budruk area of Hadapsar. In this regard, a 41-year-old mother of the victim girl filed a complaint against the accused at the Hadapsar police station on Wednesday, February 7.

The accused is identified as Dheeraj Nitin Shimpi, and he is a resident of Railway Gate, Manjri Budruk, Pune. Hadapsar police registered a case against him under IPC 354(a) and 354(d) and arrested him immediately.

The victim girl studies in class 8 at a school in Manjri. As per the police complaint filed by the minor girl’s mother, the accused has been chasing the girl for the past six months. On January 29, at around nine in the night, when the daughter of the plaintiff was returning home after attending a private coaching class, the accused halted her on a road and started misbehaving with her.

In front of the Vetal temple in Vetal Wasti, the accused halted his bike in front of the girl, and he stopped the girl. Following that, he made inappropriate advances and said filthy words to the girl, harassing her. The plaintiff further mentioned that the accused shamelessly demanded physical pleasures from a minor girl.

Hadapsar police are actively looking into the case, and Police Sub-Inspector Santosh Gore is leading the case.
