Two arrested for robbing tourists near Tiger Point in Lonavla
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | Many tourists from different parts of the state and abroad visit Lonavla which is also known as a popular hill station. An incident of tourists being robbed after being threatened with sharp weapons had taken place near the famous Tiger Point. The Lonavla rural police arrested Chintan Pathare and Sunil Akhade and seized goods from them thus solving the case within 24 hours. (Pune Crime)
Unknown robbers had robbed the tourists of half tola of gold and a mobile from tourists near the Tiger Point by threatening them with sharp weapons. After an FIR was registered at the Lonavla rural police station, the police launched a probe and arrested the two accused and solved the case within 24 hours. The police also arrested a minor apart from the two accused. The police have seized gold, mobile and a bike used in the crime.
The tourists always throng Tiger Point in large numbers and there was fear in their mind after the robbery. However, the Lonavla rural police arrested the two accused within a couple of hours after the incident. The police are further investigating the case.
