Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A robbery took place at a petrol pump in Narhe area of Pune. Robbers assaulted two petrol pump employees with an axe and decamped with Rs 40,000 cash. Shantkumar Patil has been injured on the head and nose and Prasad Shendkar has received injuries on his left ear. An FIR has been registered against unknown persons at the Sinhagad Road police station.
According to the information, on Monday night, two pump employees were sleeping in the office. At 1.30 am, a robber who had come on a two-wheeler, demanded money by threatening them with an axe. When the employees refused to give money, he assaulted one of the employees with an axe. The second employee was severely beaten up and they ran away by taking Rs 40,000.
The incident has been recorded on CCTV. After receiving information, officials of the Sinhagad Road police station rushed to the spot. They have taken the CCTV footage in their custody. Special teams are trying to trace the culprits and the police are trying to find out whether any more robbers were involved in the incident.
