Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | The Pune police Crime Branch has arrested 17 accused from various places in connection with the murder of Nitin Mohan Mhaske (35), a resident of Tadiwala Road, outside Mangala theatre. On Wednesday, Nitin Mhaske had gone to see Gadar 2 movie at Mangala theatre. After watching the film, he was going home on a two-wheeler with his friend. A gang of criminals came on two-wheelers and brutally assaulted Nitin Mhaske and his friend Satish Ananda Wankhede with swords and iron rods and Mhaske died on the spot.

Satish Wankhede lodged a complaint at the Shivaji Nagar police station. Accordingly, FIR was registered against Sagar Kolanutty alias Yalla Malik alias Mallya Koli, Imran Shaikh, Pandit Kamble, Vivek alis Bhola, Lawrence Pillai, Sushil Suryawanshi, Manoj Havle, Akash alis Chadi, Rohan alias Macchi and seven/eight others sections 302, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 147, 148, 149 of the IPC, Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act.

The accused had left Pune after committing the crime. To locate the accused, six teams i.e. unit 1, unit 2, Anti-Extortion Cell, Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad had been formed. After carrying out a technical probe and collecting information from informants, the police came to know that the main accused in the crime Sagar alias Yallya and his accomplices were in Latur, Solapur, Kolhapur, Pune Rural, Pune city and Raichur and Belagavi in Karnataka.

Sr PI Shabbir Syed of unit 1 of the Crime Branch went to Karnataka and apprehended five accused. Sagar alias Yallya Irappa Kolanatti (35), a resident of Tadiwala Road but staying at Hadapsar, Sushil Achyutrao Suryawanshi (27), a resident of Tadiwala Road, Shashank alias Vrushabh Santosh Bengle (21), a resident of Tadiwala Road, Gudgappa Fakirappa Bhagrai (28), a resident of Tadiwala Road and a minor were arrested from remote areas in Raichur and Hubli in Karnataka.

The team in Pune went to Vishrantwadi, Pune city, Chafula and Pune Rural area and located five accused and apprehended them. Malesh alias Mallya Shivraj Koli (24), a resident of Tadiwala Road, Kishor Sambhaji Patre (20), a resident of Ramabai Ambedkar Road, Pune, Sahil alias Sallya Manohar Kamble (20), a resident of Tadiwala Road, Ganesh Shivaji Chowdhary (24), a resident of Haveli taluka and Rohit Balaji Bandgar (20), a resident of Tadiwala Road, were arrested. Two teams of unit 1 of Crime Branch apprehended 10 accused.

A team led by Senior PI Ajay Waghmare of AEC 1 searched for the accused in Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa and Pune city. The team apprehended Vivek alias Bhola Bholenath Navghare (25), a resident of Ramwadi and Imran Hamid Shaikh, (31), a resident of Keshav Nagar. PI Ashok Indalkar of Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad apprehended Akash alias Chaddy Sunil Gaikwad (22), a resident of Uttam Nagar from Khadakwasla, Pune Rural area.

A team led by PI Nand Kumar Bidwai of unit 2 of the Crime Branch searched for the accused in Kharadi and Kalyani Nagar areas and apprehended four people. The accused have been identified as Lawrence Raju Pillai (36), a resident of Tadiwala Road, Manoj alias Baba Vikas Havle (23), a resident of Tadiwala Road, Rohan alias Macchi Mallesh Tupdhar (23), Vicky alias Nepya Kashinath Kamble (22), both residents of Tadiwala Road.

The police have seized four two-wheelers worth ₹2 lakh, five mobiles worth ₹50,500 totally worth ₹2,50,500. The Crime Branch carried out a joint operation and apprehended nine main accused and eight suspects and handed them over to the Shivaji Nagar police station for further action. Many FIRs are registered against the 10 accused at the Bund Garden and Koregaon park police stations.

1) Sixteen FIRs of various crimes like attempt to murder, dacoity, planning dacoity, causing serious injury, MPDA, Arm Act are registered against Sagar alias Yalla Kolanatti
2) Five FIRs of attempt to murder, dacoity, causing serious injury, fighting are registered against Sushil Suryawanshi
3) An attempt to murder has been registered against Shashank alias Vrushabh Bengle
4) Two FIRs of causing serious injury and robbery are registered against Kishor Patre
5) Two FIRs of causing serious injury are registered against Sahil alias Sallya Kamble
6) Three FIRs of causing serious injury and rape are registered against Ganesh Chowdhary
7) An FIR of a vehicle theft is registered against Rohit Bandgar
8) Three FIRs of attempt to murder and fighting are registered against Manoj alias Baba Havle
9) Five FIRs of attempted murder and causing serious injury are registered against Rohan alias Macchi Tupdhar
10) Two FIRs of causing injury and possessing weapons are registered against Vicky alias Nepya Kamble

The action was taken under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende, ACP Sunil Tambe by Sr PI Shabbir Syed of unit 1, Sr PI Nandkumar Bidwai of unit 2, Sr PI Ajay Waghmare of AEC 1, Sr PI Ashok Indalkar of Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad, officials and policemen.
