Pune Crime News | Two Bangladeshi thieves escape from Sinhagad Road police station

PUNE : Pune Crime News | Two Bangladeshi citizens who had completed their prison term are absconding from the premises of Sinhagad Road police station. An FIR has been registered against the two Bangladeshi citizens.

The court had sentenced the two Bangladeshi citizens in a robbery case. They had been released from the Yerawada jail after completing their sentence. The Special Branch of Pune police had issued a restriction order regarding them. Accordingly, for the last seven months, the duo was staying in the Sinhagad Road police station. The police had made arrangements for their food and accommodation.

The Special Branch had started the process of repatriation to Bangladesh and the police had contacted the Bangladesh high commission. Since there was no reply from the high commission, the two were staying in the police station for seven months. They disappeared from the police station on June 7.

Meanwhile, few years ago, the Pune police had arrested a Pakistani spy. The police had started the process of sending him back to Pakistan but the Pakistani citizen had escaped from the Sahakar Nagar police station.
