Pune Crime News | Shocking! Policeman’s wife tries to die by suicide after husband denied leave

Pune : NpNews24 Online Pune Crime News | A shocking incident has come to light wherein the wife of a policeman tried to die by suicide because her husband did not get leave. The woman’s husband is working as a driver of a police inspector’s vehicle in the traffic branch. There was a dispute between the couple over the husband not getting a leave and the woman tried to die by suicide, according to sources. The injured woman is being treated in a private hospital. The incident has sent shock waves through the police department.(Pune Crime News)

According to the available information, the woman’s husband is employed in the traffic branch and she is a policewoman at the Yerawada Jail. The man wanted casual leave but he was not getting it. His two weekly offs had been cancelled for some reason.

The policeman had a weekly off on Sunday. Both watched a movie and went shopping. There was an argument between them over taking leave on Monday. His wife told him to take leave but he told her that he will have to report for duty. There was an argument between them on the issue. The policeman had applied for leave but had not spoken to seniors about it. On Saturday, when he had gone to drop PI at his residence, he had asked him about leave but did not get a reply.

The policeman had called the PI but he did not pick up the phone. Hence, he told his wife that he would not get leave. They had an argument. The policeman went to have a bath and his wife went to the room. Since he had a doubt, he came out of the bathroom. He and his father rushed to the bedroom and broke the door. They saw that she was trying to die by suicide by hanging herself. Both of them took her to a hospital.

Officials and personnel of Kothrud traffic branch and Kothrud police station rushed to the spot. They also informed senior officials. This incident has shocked police personnel in the city.

Meanwhile, senior officials of the traffic branch said that the concerned policeman has been posted in the traffic branch on August 9. He has been posted as a driver on the planning department’s police inspector’s vehicle. He has taken two days leave. They said there is no question of denying leave and regular leaves are granted. They said that the couple may have had an argument and are now giving the excuse of not getting leave.
