Pune Crime News | Pune Sessions Court reject the pre-bail application of two persons who cheated a Pune businessman of Rs 46 lakhs

Pune: Pune Crime News | The Pune Sessions Court on Friday, July 21 rejected the pre-bail application of two persons who cheated a onion trader from Pune of Rs 46 lakhs on the pretext of selling the trader onion abroad and providing him a huge profit margin. The incident took place in the year 2021. Sessions Court Judge RR Mendhe gave this order. Siddappa A. L. S. Bhandari and Gajendra Siddappa alias R.Karnataka are the accused who were denied bail.

 

Onion trader Swapnil Bhagwan Belhekar (31) a resident of Dattanagar, Narhe an onion trader in the Pune market yard area, has filed a complaint at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station in 2021.

 

As per the initial information regarding the incident, “An onion trader Swapnil Belhekar was introduced to Siddappa Bhandari and Gajendra Siddappa for business purposes. The duo won Belhekar’s trust by telling them that they are big onion traders and sell the goods abroad for huge profit.

 

In the name of business, both of them together took onions worth Rs 46 lakh from Belhekar. When Behelkar demanded money for the onion, the accused started threatening him. Behelkar after realising that he has been cheated lodged a case against Siddappa Bhandari and Gajendra Siddappa. Siddappa Bhandari had filed an application for pre-arrest bail after the case was registered. Public Prosecutor Makarand Aurangabadkar opposed the bail application. On behalf of the victim Advocate Shivam Potdar oversaw the work.

 

When will the onion trader get justice?

An onion trader in Pune has been cheated to the tune of Rs 46 lakhs. Two people from Karnataka state have cheated him. It has to be seen whether the accused will appear before the police after the bail is rejected or appeal in the high court. Meanwhile, this fraud incident has highlighted the need for traders to be vigilant while doing financial transactions.
