Pune Crime News | Hadapsar police took action against road romeos roaming outside school & college premises
Pune: Pune Crime News | On Friday, July 21 the Hadapsar police in Pune made a surprise visit to school and college premises in order to create a sense of security among girls and young women coming to schools and colleges. The Hadapsar police also arrested a few road romeos.
During the surprise visit a young man caught by the police turned out to be a suspect in the attempted murder. The Hadapsar police took preventive action against him.
The Pune police are implementing various activities in the city to reduce down the crime rates in the city.
Three days back the Pune police found two absconding accused in Rajasthan’s illegal movement prevention Act. The police on the lines of implementing all the plans like combing operation established Damini squads in the city.
Vishawas Dagle, crime inspector, Hadapsar police station said, ” We along with our team made a surprise visit outside the colleges and schools in Hadapsar area. We arrested a few culprits. Road romeos who were roaming without any reason were also given the warnings.”
The girls and women from schools and colleges in Hadapsar area in Pune expressed their satisfaction after the police action.
The team which were part during the surprise visit were Vishwas Dagle a crime inspector of Hadapsar police station and police constables Prakash Sawant, Nilesh Kirve, Pramod Dhakne, Amol Mankraj and Manoj Surve.
Dagle added, ” During the patrolling conducted on Friday afternoon in the school and college premises within the limits of Hadapsar police station few of the road romeos were caught. While two of the bike riders were arrested this time, one of them was on bail in two cases of attempted mutrder and grievous bodily harm. There was also a fine of Rs 5,500 on his car. We asked him to pay the fine amount and he was released after preventive action was taken against him.”
