Pune Crime News | Pune police arrested five thieves from Uttar Pradesh for stealing 108 iron gates
Pune: Pune Crime News | The Pune police arrested five thieves from Uttar Pradesh for stealing 108 iron gates of a dam in Bahuli village of Khadakwasla irrigation department. Iron gates worth Rs 10.5 lakhs have been seized from them.
The accused have been identified as Surendra Chandrika Yadav (25), Ramraksha Dharamraj Paswan (38), Muniram Santaram Yadav (40), Prince alias Mithilesh Harichandra Yadav (18) and Pradeep Ambika Kanojia (18) all the residents of Uttar Pradesh and they are labourer.
Kiran Balwadkar, senior police inspector from Uttamnagar area said, ” We came to know about the theft of around 108 iron gates of Bahuli village. A case was also registered in Uttamnagar police station about the theft. While I was patrolling with my team and at that time we found that the accused were going in tempo. We instructed the accused to stop the vehicle but the accused left the vehicle on the spot and fled. The police team inspected the vehicle. At that time, the vehicle was found with the iron gates of the dam. Vehicle owner Surendra Yadav was detained and during interrogation, Yadav confessed to stealing the dam’s iron gates with the help of his accomplices. Soon after Surendra Yadav’s confession all the accused were arrested from Uttar Pradesh with the help of Uttar Pradesh police.”
The action by the Pune police was done under the guidance of Pune’s Commissioner of Police Ritesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner of Police Pravinkumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Suhail Sharma, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhimrao Tele, Senior Police Inspector Kiran Balwadkar, Crime Branch Inspector Shabnam Sheikh, Assistant Inspectors Dadaraje Pawar, Tanaji Nangre, Ganesh Hazare, Sachin Gaikwad and Tushar Kindre.
