Pune Crime News | Man cheats Ahmedabad resident of ₹84 lakh by selling him mortgaged shop
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | An incident of a man being cheated of ₹84 lakh after he purchased a shop which was already mortgaged, has come to light. Afsar Abrar Ahmed Ansari (34), a resident of Ahmedabad, has lodged a complaint at the Wanwadi police station. Accordingly, an FIR has been registered against Soni Sonaram Chaudhary, a resident of Hadapsar, Sonaram Ramuram Chaudhary, Ad Ramesh Khandale and a responsible person in Haveli Sub-Registrar Office Number 9. The incident took place from February 2020 till now. (Pune Crime News)
According to the police, the complainant had purchased a shop on the ground floor of Yashraj Society on Handewadi Road from Soni Chaudhary by making a sale deed. Chaudhary gave fake information about the shop’s ownership. He had mortgaged the shop with IndusInd Bank’s Wanwadi branch but told the complainant that there was no loan on the shop. Hence, he cheated the complainant of ₹84 lakh.
An FIR has been registered against an advocate for conspiring with Chaudhary and hiding this information from the complainant and a responsible person in Haveli Number 9 office.
