Pune Crime News | Man Arrested for Molesting Woman in Pune
Pune : Pune Crime News | Shivaji Nagar Police have successfully apprehended a man accused of molesting a woman near the Bavadhan bus stop under the Municipal Bridge in Pune.
The suspect, identified as Laxman Tukaram Ghode from Ramnagar, Warje Malwadi, Pune, was arrested by the police following an incident that occurred on July 2, 2023. The victim was walking towards the bus stop when the assailant approached her from Khude Chowka direction in the darkness. He subjected her to molestation, causing immense distress and shame. The woman promptly lodged a complaint at the Shivaji Nagar police station.
The police initiated a thorough investigation, conducting surveillance between 8 pm and 12 am beneath the municipal bridge. They carefully analyzed CCTV footage, which eventually led them to gather information about the accused. Subsequently, Laxman Tukaram Ghode was arrested, and during interrogation, he confessed to the crime.
The successful resolution of this case was made possible through the diligent efforts of the Pune Police Department. Commissioner of Police Ritesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, Deputy Commissioner of Police Pravinkumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Vasant Kuwar provided guidance to the investigation team. The team, consisting of Senior Police Inspector Arvind Mane, Police Inspector (Crime) Vikram Gaud, Police Sub-Inspector Pratap Salve, Woman Police Sub-Inspector Manisha Jadhav, and police constables Ranjit Fadtare, Bashir Syed, Rupesh Waghmare, and Adesh Chalwadi, worked tirelessly to apprehend the accused.
