Pune Crime News | Five men held for trying to kill youth by smashing his head with stone

PUNE : Pune Crime News | Five people tried to kill a youth by smashing his head with a stone after he rushed to help his friend who was being assaulted by them. The Koregaon Park police have arrested five people.

The arrested accused have been identified as Shubham Mane (22), Shubham Salve (22), Akash Chikte (27), Tejas Jagtap (19) and Krishna Rathod (18), all residents of Tadiwala Road. Yatin Abdul Attar (31), a resident of Yerawada, has lodged a complaint (93/23) at the Koregaon Park police station. The incident took place at Satnam Travels on Sassoon Road in Bund Garden area on Tuesday at 10.30 pm.

According to the police, the complainant works in Satnam Travels. His colleague Mukesh Kumar Saroj was being assaulted by Shubham Mane and Shubham Salve without any reason. When he saw that the accused had grabbed Mukesh by his neck, the complainant went to help him. Mane called his friends. He abused the complainant and threatened to kill him and hit his head with a stone. They also hurled a stone at the complainant’s colleague Govind and injured him. Anil’s nose was fractured and he was seriously injured. The police have registered an FIR of attempt to murder and arrested five people. PSI Sawant is probing the case.
