Pune Crime News | Fighting takes place outside cabin of Pune railway station director
PUNE: Pune Crime News | An incident of fighting took place outside the cabin of the station director at the Pune railway station on Monday evening. Officials said that there was a fight between beggars. However, this incident has brought to the fore the issue of security at the station.
Station Director Madan Kumar Meena was in his cabin. At 5.35 pm, there was a sound of someone colliding against the glass door. When he came out of the cabin, he saw that 4-5 people were fighting with each other and using foul language. He informed Station Manager Sunil Dhoble. Dhoble gave this information to RPF and GRP via the announcing system. Security officials should have visited the spot but it did not happen. Dhoble said that no one came to intervene and stop the fighting.
Harsha Shah, President of Railway Pravasi Group, said, “It is wrong that such an incident has happened outside a senior official’s cabin. What was the railway administration doing? What is the Tejas squad doing? Pune railway station has become accessible to anyone. How can such people enter the station? DRM Indu Dube should pay attention and take suitable measures.”
Dr Ramdas Bhise, PRO, Pune Railway Division, said, “I have got information about the incident which took place at the Pune railway station. An enquiry will be held and suitable action will be taken against the concerned persons.”
