Pune Crime News | CA forges signatures on cheques, cheats client of Rs 35 lakh
Pune : Pune Crime News | A chartered accountant (CA) dealing in income tax (I-T) work of his clients forged signatures on the ‘missing’ cheques of his client and cheated them of Rs 34.65 lakh.
A 46-year-old woman from Mukund Nagar lodged a complaint at the Chatuhshrungi police station. Hence, the police booked CA Narendra Bijlwan, a resident of Vasai (East). The incident took place at an office on Baner road between February 13 and March 4, 2021.
According to the police, the complainant and the accused are known to each other. CA Bijalwan was doing I-T related work for her husband, who passed away. The complainant had lost two cheques. She had intimated the banks about this. Bijalwani forged signatures on these two cheques of two different banks and withdrew Rs 34.65 lakh and cheated his client.
The police registered a case as per the directives of the court. API Kendre is investigating the case.
