Pune Crime News | Bund Garden police arrest accused in murder case despite not having any proof

PUNE : Pune Crime News |  The officials and policemen of Bund Garden police station have arrested the accused in a murder case despite not having any proof and non-identification of the body. The accused has admitted killing the deceased by throttling him and smashing his head with a stone after he demanded to have sex with the accused’s wife.

 

The accused has been identified as Suraj Lalli Agwan (35), a resident of Kanpur district, Uttar Pradesh. On June 14, at 9.30 am, the body of a 30-35-year-old man had been found near the railway quarters. To prevent identification of the body, the face had been disfigured and the proof had been destroyed.
The Bund Garden police examined the CCTV footage of the area. They found that a woman was talking with the deceased on June 13, 2023. The police started searching for the woman. On July 5, 2023, the police found the woman seen in the CCTV footage. When the police questioned her, she said that the man wanted to have sex with her and later, her husband had taken him to Pune station from Maldhakka Chowk but had returned later alone.

 

The police started searching for the accused Suraj Agwan. The police came to know that Suraj Agwan was going to come near Shahir Amar Shaikh Chowk on July 8, 2023. The police laid a trap and arrested him. When he was questioned, he admitted killing the deceased by throttling him and smashing his head with a stone after he had demanded to have sex with his wife.

 

CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil, DCP Smartana Patil, ACP RN Raje, Sr PI Santosh Patil guided police officers Sandeep Madhale, Ravindra Gawde, policemen Dnyaneshwar Gaikwad, Vilas Kekan, Sharad Dhakne, Shivaji Sarak, Manoj Bhokre, Anil Kusalkar, Kiran Talekar, Manish Sankpal and Raju Dhulgude in taking the action.
