Pune Crime News | Attempt by two persons to rob petrol pump manager in broad daylight in Baramati
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | In a shocking incident in Baramati two persons made an attempt to rob the manager of Krishna Petrol Pump on Patas Road on Monday, August 7 in the afternoon in broad daylight. The incident took place when he was going to deposit the money in the bank. The two people tried to rob him by showing a pistol and they also fired at him. The Petrol Pump manager is seriously injured and the police are further investigating the case. (Pune Crime News)
As per the initial information the petrol pump manager Mayur Shinde (32) as usual took the money from the petrol pump at around 11:30 am and was going to the bank on his two-wheeler to deposit the money. At this time two people came on their splendor bike and showed him a pistol and made an attempt to grab the bag filled with money from him, but Shinde even after several attempts from the accused did not give the bag. When the accused realised that they cannot take the bag they ran away but fired at Shinde while escaping. Shinde got seriously injured during the incident and he has been admitted at Silver Jubilee sub-district hospital for treatment where he has got five to six stitches.
The Petrol Pump is owned by Kiran Gujar who is a senior corporator of Baramarti.
After the incident Gujar said, ” This robbing attempt would have been done by some known persons. It is a matter of concern that such incidents happened in broad daylight in Baramati. Fortunately our petrol pump manager foiled the attempt of the robbers and no money was robbed, but our manager Mayur Shinde is seriously injured and currently undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, there has been a stir due to this incident in broad daylight in Baramati. The city police station has been informed and further investigation is underway.
