Pune Crime News | 70-year-old senior citizen from Pune killed for demanding his Rs 30 lakh back

Pune: Pune Crime News | A shocking incident of a 70-year-old senior citizen being killed and his body dumped at Pune’s Tamhini Ghat has come to light in Chinchwad area of Pune. The incident has created a stir in Pune. The man was killed when he demanded his Rs 30 lakh back which he lended to his friend.

 

The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Mela Singh and the masterminds of the murder are Narayan Ingle, Rajesh Narayan Pawar and Sadhan Gyanoba Maske and all three have been arrested by Chinchwad police station.

 

Ganesh Mane, sub-inspector, Chinchwad police station said, ” As per the initial investigation the main accused Narayan Ingle was a manager in Punjab Sindh Bank. He retired from the job a few days back. He had borrowed Rs 30 lakh from the victim Ranjit Mela Singh. The victim was demanding his money back from Narayan. Both would have a fight over the money matter. Naryan’s intention was not to return the money so he planned the murder of Ranjit Singh by paying Rs 4 lakh to the contract killers named Rajesh Narayan Pawar and Sadhan Gyanoba Maske.”

 

Mane further added, ” On April 19, Narayan Ingle called Ranjit Mela Singh at his Chinchwad residence to return the money. At his residence he along with two others strangled Ranjit with a rope and stabbed to death. After that they put Ranjit’s body in their car and took it to Tamhini Ghat and disposed of the dead body. Complaint was filed at Chinchwad police station about Ranjit Singh’s disappearance. Chinchwad police and crime branch unit-2 were conducting parallel investigation in the case. I along with the officer of crime branch unit-2 got information from the sources that the accused were hiding in Chikhali area. Our team soon laid a trap and arrested the accused and interrogated them. During the interrogation they confessed to the crime. We have arrested all the three accused and are further investigating the case.”
