Pune Crime | Gang of women from Andhra Pradesh involved in mobile thefts of Ganesh devotees nabbed

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | Thousands of devotees have been flocking to the Dagdusheth Ganpati pandal to have a glimpse of their Bappa. Taking advantage of the crowds, a gang of women thieves from Andhra Pradesh was stealing mobile phones and pickpocketing. The police have nabbed the gang. (Pune Crime)

 

The arrested have been identified as Aguramma Giddianna Gunja (35), Amulla Apputolaprabhakar Kampparilathippa (37), Anita Pitla Sudhkar (21), Sushila Isam Tampichetti (35).

 

A woman victim lodged a complaint at the Visharambaug police station in this regard. The complainant was at the Dagdusheth Ganpati pandal which was crowded. The accused opened the chain of her purse and stole her mobile phone worth Rs 40,000. As she realised the theft, she started shouting. The police on duty caught the culprits.

 

Another pickpocket identified as Sandeep Sunil Borse (27) from Dhule was arrested while stealing Rs 2,000 from the pocket of a youth visiting the Dagdusheth Ganpati pandal.
