Chikhali police arrest man for raping woman
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A woman whose husband has a government job and has two children fell in love with an engineer. He lured her with the promise of marriage and established a physical relationship with her. The woman gave her husband a divorce because she wanted to stay with her lover. However, the engineer refused to marry her. The woman has filed a complaint at the Chikhali police station against her lover and the police have filed a case against the accused under sections 376 (n) and 417. The police have arrested engineer Kunal Shivaji Nikam after the woman’s complaint. (Pune Crime)
A 27-year-old woman has filed a complaint at the Chikhali police station on Sunday. After she filed a complaint, the police arrested Kunal Nikam (27), a resident of Navin Gharkul, Chikhali. The incident took place between July 2019 and March 16, 2022 at the woman’s residence and Dighi. The woman gave the reason for divorce that there was a 15 year age difference between her and her husband.
According to the police, the accused is a mechanical engineer and works as a sales executive. He got acquainted with the woman at her office. The woman has been educated till std x. The engineer told her that he loved her very much and asked her to get a divorce and told her that he will marry her and take care of her.
The complainant believed the engineer. The accused won the woman’s confidence and established sexual relations with her at her house and Dighi. The woman divorced her husband but the accused refused to marry her. When the woman realised that she had been cheated, she filed a complaint against accused Kunal Nikam. The police have filed a rape case against him. PSI Vivek Kumatkar is investigating the case.
