Pune : Covid-19 War Room and Shivajinagar Jumbo Hospital phone services restored by BSNL

Pune : The telephone connectivity to Covid-19 Hospital Bed Management War Room and Shivajinagar Jumbo Hospital has been restored by telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The service was interrupted for a day and hence citizens were facing lot of problems while reaching out for help to the Pune Municipal Corporation regarding hospital bed availability in the city for Covid-19 patients.

The Disaster Management Cell and Covid-19 Bed Management War Room numbers 020-25502110 and 25506800 and 25501269 were out of service due to a technical problem from telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Hence the Pune Municipal Corporation had appealed citizens to use the alternative number 020-67801500 to get through to the Covid-19 Bed Management War Room.

Alternative number 020-67801500 was provided by the Pune Municipal Corporation to offer immediate help and information about Covid-19 in the city. Mayor Murlidhar Mohol and Additional Municipal Commissioner Rubal Agarwal had appealed to citizens about this.

The PMC had also temporarily allowed citizens to directly approach the jumbo hospital in Shivajinagar in case the patient condition was critical. However, now citizens will be able to call the War Room first and then according to availability of hospital beds and as per the instructions given to them, they can take the patients to the respective hospital.
